Had this on tap at the brewery. It pours black in color with a an airy, feathery head on top.
It's flavor shows a slight malt presence up front, followed by cocoa, and then lemon-lime and citrus rind hops. Honestly, the hop flavor dominates and really doesn't mix that well with the other flavors and characteristics they put into this beer.
The beer is incredibly thin and not that well carbonated, it's mouthfeel is really lacking any sort of substance.
This is a below average black ipa. Seventh Son really seems to either "hit it" or "miss it" with a lot of their beers, and this one they "missed".

On Draft List at Flipside Burgers at Easton.
Per write up: "Midnight dark bracingly bitter yet smooth black IPA with its dark malt character balanced by notes of lemon and orange rind from extensive dry hopping with Sorachi Ace."
Appearance - completely black. Minimal head.
Smell- Roasted Malts. Not much else that I can detect.
Taste- Follows the smell with the roasted Malts, Chocolate, and grapefruit.
Overall- An average black IPA. Not bad, but no need to have again.
