I love Mosaic hops. I know it’s trendy, but I do. So when you build a 100% Mosaic hazy you have my attention right away, and if it’s a DIPA, well, I’m quite intrigued. This is a beautiful beer to look at, rich mango gold and, in fact, just a little hazy. Nice creamy head. All the classic notes of Mosaic come out in the aroma: citrus, mango/pineapple, just a touch of pine. And the taste expands beautifully on that, particularly featuring the finely crafted hops/malt balance. Stickman has done a great job of making the DIPA succulence work with the delicacy of a hazy Mosaic. Feel is very good but could be a bit softer to bring out the hazy character in the finish. A damn fine beer for a warm autumn afternoon.
