The Uni Bräu is located on the grounds of an old hospital and a current universty. It is next to the Stiegl Ambulanz, so one can bar hop between the two establishments. It has a lot of outdoor seating in the warmer months, and a nice cozy interior for when it is chilly. Since it is located near to the center of the city, I would recomend it to tourists. The courtyard where it is located has a nice park where a lot of families go to let their kids play. In December, there is a christmass market there and the UniBräu serves hot, spiced wine from a stand.
They are very proud of the fact that they also brew alt beer. The rest of the beers are standard Austrian fare.
