On-tap 12/23/2016 at Pizza J’s in Providence, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a dark reddish brown color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a very thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains brown sugar, caramelized malts, some hops and some fruit.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of brown sugar, caramel and fruit. Then a hearty malt character comes in. The hops presence is good for the style and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Very tasty, goes down dangerously easy, not too filling, strong kick, very good representation of style, this is a very good beer to drink for a long time.
