This is a nice summer beer but for a double IPA, it lacks a lot of character. This would be fine at a barbecue or day at the beach but the high 8% alcohol is a bit inconsistent with that. Overall, it's pleasant but not a stand out.

Look: A lighter NEipa look with a bit less haze and thickness. Light golden color with a minimum amount of white foam capping. Spreads out thin pretty quick.
Nose: Serious fruity aromatics here: peaches from the can in the syrup, booze soaked pineapple and sweet floral just bursting.
Feel & Flavor: Just as the appearance would suggest, the body and Mouthfeel is a bit thinner than most of its contemporaries. Now, this may very well be the goal, concidering this seems to be geared towards "fun in the sun" style audience, which is fine. Lighter body with a decent crispness, juicy edges and slightly, dry and hot - boozy finish.
The fruity side of the hop flavor is very bold, brash and complex. Boozy starfruit, pineapple chunks and sweetly tinged floral tones all pop right out. Probably a bit boozy, but the malt is very light, golden and pretty clean.
Overall: Happy to see another option at my local mom n' pop stop. Hops are strong and fruity, malt is light and clean but the boozy heat and thinner body takes it's toll concidering the style.
