This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some light lacing sticking in a concave fashion. The smell starts off with a semi-sweet vinous fresh grape - like to grassy sweet quality. Light sweet peaches end up rolling into some nice sweet to bitter tropical fruits. The taste was vinously sweet, showing a nice light bitterness drying itself into the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability. Carbonation feels good for the style and for me. Kinda sticky. Overall, different for an old ale but easy going.
