Dark black in color with no light penetration. There's a fingernail of beige around the rim and covering a third of the top. I smell nutmeg and cinnamon and it is faint at that. The taste is a blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, and it finishes just slightly funky. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

Pours a black color. 1/4 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of pumpkin, nutmeg, allspice, sweet malt, yeast, hint of alcohol, and a sourness. Fits the style of an American Wild Ale. Mouth feel is tart, sharp, clean, and low carbonation level. Tastes of pumpkin, yeast, sweet malt, hint of roasted malt, alcohol, allspice, nutmeg, and earthiness. Overall, good appearance, complex aroma and body, good blend, and good feel.

L - Pours like a regular stout or double stout at most. It has a one finger khaki head that leaves no lacing or retention.
S - Typical pumpkin smells and spices on the nose with roasted malts interwoven. Faint tartness, but not really present.
T - Oh yeah! More lacto soured stout than pumpkin beer on the taste. It's completely different than the pumpkin heavy smell. Granted, the pumpkin/spices are there, they just really take a backseat to the lacto and roasted malts.
F - Medium bodied and light carbonation with a wet finish. Not a heavy beer, but it really fits the profile of the beer.
O - For me, all pumpkin beers have their ups & downs. I'm not a huge fan of them, but the sour up front and pumpkin in the back really has my attention.
