16 oz can pours a somewhat cloudy deep copper color with a little bit of dark khaki-colored head that quickly fades to just a few bubbles on the surface. Smell is pretty basic, with just a faint note of roasted malt and a slight metallic odor. Taste is about as you would expect: roasted malts heavy up front, with some minor notes of caramel and spice. Medium body with little very little perceptible carbonation. Small but noticeable amount of bitterness at the close with very little hop flavor. Decently balanced between the malt and hops, but the beer feels ever so slightly watery.
A good beer, but I probably wouldn't buy again. Could use some more carbonation and a more robust flavor.
