Pours a dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of hops, roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of sugar, and hint of alcohol. Fits the style of an American Stout. Listed as a beer brewed between the lines of an American Stout and an American Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, hops, slight syrup, and a hint of sugar. Overall, good appearance, decent aroma and body, but complexity is lacking.
