a really nice bright summery type ipa from alpha. this is a uniquely hopped brew, and one of the best beers on at alpha. it pours a lighter straw color, not much to its looks considering its huge flavor profile and sturdy strength. smallish white head is all. nose of fresh orchard fruit, mouthwateringly fresh hops, with just a very light pale malt body underneath. similar in that regard to the mosaic pale ale they also have going. the taste is really snappy, I love this hop, its just right for summer. higher alpha and bitterness too, there is a whole lot of hops happening here, and since the grain bill is so light, it really stands out. still its very drinkable, with barley a medium body and outstanding carbonation. I cant taste alcohol at all, but I can feel it, just how I like it in a good ipa. I would be surprised if this one didn't eventually get some national attention, its a stellar beer for such a new brewery. keep an eye out for these guys.

ABV: 7.5%

Pours a bright golden slightly hazy yellow. Bright and bubbly.
The aroma starts off with bright citrus fruits. Grapefruit! and orange rind a plenty. Smells like its going to be bitter! Fresh.
First sip Wow. Starts off bitter, bitter and citrusy. There is some grapefruit rind and tangerine and orange. The brew is quite citrusy and also fruity. After the hops there is some nice slight fruity juice notes come up and give a slight balance to the brew, some pine notes are present as well as some mild mango. It is smooth an easy drinking but bitter. On the middle-back there is a nice husky earthy grain note that is then enveloped back by juicy hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is nice and light-medium with crisp carbonation.
Pretty good IPA. Very bitter and citrusy, fresh and herbal with nice bready undertones.
