Pours a cloudy, red/brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of sweet malt, strong tamarind, hint of hop, hint of roasted malt, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of an American Amber / Red Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, hint of hop, slight earthiness, and tamarind. Overall, the "sour" in the name is a stretch! Only because of the addition of tamarind is this even slightly sour. Otherwise, decent red ale.
