Poured from a 12oz glass into a 12oz tulip.
Look is reddish brown like brick. Very hazy. with frothy frothy head.
Smell is piney hops maybe a little stale.
Taste is much better than the aroma. Very herbal bitterness.
Not a beer I would not want all the time, but a good one to try.

1/2 growler filled at Yorktown Bev, Yorktown, NY
Pours a nice looking rich shade of darker almond amber, near clear, Moderate khaki cap, leaves respectable light sheeting and higher strands of lace.
Light bread on the nose
Respectable APA. Malts/hops both kicking in and balancing each other.
Easy drinking and pleasant enough. Body is medium and the carbonation is on point. This is the kind of beer you could drink and enjoy all day. Worth a try

A golden looking ale, the City Island Pale Ale's first public appearance is impressive. While I dont bother with the smell, the taste has enough enough gravity so it doesn't feel like a Sam Adams. While the hop is there, she isn't over done with bitterness, making the balance of light, refreshing and bitter all make this an impressive beer to try.
