Taster at brewery. Dark, brown pour, opaque, thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma is toasty malts with light sweetness. Taste is creamy, toasty, woody, nutty. Excellent feel. Really nice, would do great on cask

12 oz bottle, brought to work by a co-worker who got it in a beer of the month club and didn't want it. One man's trash is another man's Dark Mild?
Deep brown color and clear with a tan head. Subtle chocolate malt and nutty aroma. Faint earthy hops. Taste follows suit with the impression of sweet malt, but it actually finishes on the dry side.
Medium-light bodied and a little too thin. Carbonation is a tad too high which gives it a prickly texture.
This is a really good English Mild that just needs some minor tweaks to become excellent.

Loner pours a translucent brown, with a small, but lacing head. Nice rich aroma, warm and full of roasted nuts. Flavor is earthy, hints of nuts, with a slight bitter finish. A little watery. Overall, its a nice flavorful mild ale, warm, without being boozy.

The smell is very unique, unlike anything else I’ve drank before. Definitely a root beer color with a heavy dark roasted coffee, and bitter finish. It reminds me of being in England again with a nice strong pint in a pub. It’s a bit dry on the back end with a bit of oak flavoring, but I keep going back for another drink.

Deep brown red with a thin tan head that quickly dissolves. Dry without being bitter, with no noticable hops, and a predominant flavor of dark toast. A clean finish with little aftertaste.
Overall, a very good English dark mild ale

This beer poured a root beer color with a moderate light-brown head. The head retention was good and there is some nice lacing. The aroma is malty and spicy (black pepper.) The taste of chocolate is the most notable flavor. It is mild, creamy, and both slightly bitter and sweet. The taste and color remind me of a mild Porter.
