750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a deep black color with a small foamy white head that has short retention
S- smells of peppermint flavored gum mixed with chocolate and roasted malt. Bourbon barrel is very light and barely traceable
T- sweet chocolate and caramel note sup front give way to a sharp mint flavor that mixes with the chocolate, giving notes of andes mints. The bourbon barrel is traceable, but barely, just a trace of oak. The finish gives more mint and chocolate
M- medium-heavy body with low carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into the finish, abv hidden well
O- one of the better mint stouts that I've had, but as with the apple brandy version, I found myself wanted more barrel presence, still very good
