500ml bottle conditioned: BBD 1 Mar 2013. Poured at home on 9 Apr 2013, so a bit late. Bottle numbered 136.
A large biege head sat on top of a clear amber body with carbonisation bubbles rising through it. The initial smell and taste said ’Home Brew’ to me but luckily it got better as I settled into my stride.
Pine hop nose and taste, with some maltiness just under the surface, yeasty esters also about in both the aroma and mouth. It went down very nicely with some Red Leicester cheese.
Nothing to sing about with this beer but there is nothing wrong with it either: a ’run of the mill’ UK session ale that isn’t going to upset anyone.
