Lafond was a comedian actor in Brazil who was a cross dresser and the label looks like another beer named Cafuza from a different brewer. That is why the label says “Another case of brewer bullying”.
Deepest black color that completely blocks light with a huge thick mushroom with great retention and leaving a curtain of laces. Really hard to beat.
Uncommon aroma with a predominant bold sweat horse mantle and notes of roasted malt and papaya. Maybe the horse mantle was due to a combination of sorachi and roasted notes.
Flavor is quite different from nose, with notes of coffee, sour grapefruit, nuts, tea bag, lots of papaya and lemon.
Dry aftertaste with a long roasted and bitter note. At a first moment it did not feel near close to its 100 IBUs, but its bitterness increased after a while.
Light to medium body with good carbonation.
Some apparent mismatch between aroma and taste did confuse me. I still not sure if I liked this beer or not. This brew needs some adjustments.
