Notes taken from February 2012. This pale ale is brewed with, you guessed it, Falconer's Flight hops. However, I initially though that it was named after the owner of Falke Bier. Ok, so it has a double meaning. Coming out of a 600 ml bottle (thanks André!) at Urbana, on to the beer:
This pale ale is bright orange with a few yellow hues. Good quanitities of lace is spun around the glass. The aroma brings grass and caramel, and a kiss of diacetyl. Despite highlighting a variety of hops in its name, it doesn't have much of a hoppy flavor. Touch of daicetyl starts it off, then it's on to toffee. More diacetyl. There's a tick of passionfruit. The beer is medium bodied yet easy, with a jump of carbonation towards the end.
Okay as it stands, and André knew it too. He said that they were investigating why the hoppy flavor was dissapearing. If it's fixed by now, I'd love to give Falcone's Flight antother try.
