Notes taken from February 2012. Brown ales are usually sweet, but the idea of a milk brown ale was too interesting. André shared this one at Urbana. From a 600 ml bottle, on to the beer:
Amber brown colored with hues of red. Topping the body is good head retention of good lacing. The aroma brings sweet lactose and a little toffee, pretty good but a little Plain Jane to warrant a higher score. Any doubts are swept aside when it's tasted, as this not only brings a pleasant lactose flavor, it also brough along some subtle hops, toasted malt, and even a lovely coconut note. It's medium bodied and quite smooth, with lacotse in the aftertaste.
