Notes taken from February 2012. If you say the name in Brazilian Portuguese, the name sounds a lot like "centeio", meaning rye. It's fitting, because this is a Rye IPA with 85 IBU's. Fil shared this one at Sergio's apartment, thanks! From a 600 ml with a label featuring LaCoste's alligtor with its tail ripped off, on to the beer:
It's burnt orange in color with a head which retains well on top. The aroma shows passionfruit and a subtle sweet fruit syrup. Tastes like pine, and also "syrup of pine". There's some spiciness coming from the rye. Some mango notes as well. 100 Tail's biggest drawback is the mouthfeel, which is much too syrupy. The only thing that was missing were the waffles! While it has a solid flavor, adjustments around couldn't hurt.
