Hoppy Grounds Coffee Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale that combines cold press Ethiopian coffee from our friends at Benelux Coffee with the earthy spiciness of English hops. With a surprising peppery spice and subtle coffee flavor, medium-bodied and complex, this unique pale ale is sure to wake up any palate.

A: Pours a clear medium copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey orange + golden yellow highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy very light beige head that reduces to a couple of medium to large sized thick patches surrounded by a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of cold pressed rich dark roasted coffee with light to moderate aromas of earthy + spicy hops. Light aromas of caramel malts.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of toasted and caramel malts with a light hint of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of rich dark roasted cold press coffee and moderate flavors of earthy + spicy hops. Light to moderate amounts of roasty + hoppy bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Enjoyable, I wish the coffee flavors were a little more sharp/pronounced but I very much enjoyed this beer and would easily have another. Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol.
