Appears dark black with a nice foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin cap and nice lacing.
Smells malty, coffee and chocolatey.
Taste follows the nose, definitely malt forward, coffee and chocolatey.
Mouth feel is medium for the style, creamy and moderate carbonation.
Overall a very nice example of a coffee Stout that I would definitely drink again.

A: 22 oz bottle pour into a tulip glass. Dark mahogany with a thin, but foamy head. Dissipated into an omnipresent ring. Patchy lacing with legs.

S: Cold pressed java/espresso, dark chocolate.

T: Espresso beans, bitter chocolate, roasted malt.

M: Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation.

O: A solid coffee stout. Would prefer a touch thicker mouthfeel, but it's good for what it is. Big fan of the local coffee beans as well. Would love to see Gizmo throw this in a barrel for a few months.

L: A dense coffee black pour that is bright around the edges produces a 2” tan foam column that recedes to a thick film at a moderate rate.

S: Coffee aromas with trace of chocolate in the background.

T: Big coffee with light chocolate notes. Nothing burnt or harsh. Malt forward with mild bready, yeasty fruit.

F: Silky. medium to a little above on the body, above average carbonation.

O: A fairly mellow beer that is fulfilling and easy to drink.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with light amounts of gentle visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and moderate amounts of cola brown highlights. The beer has a finger tall dense foamy dark tan head that reduces to a mottled thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of freshly brewed espresso over lighter aromas of roasted malts.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of roasted malts with a hint of dark fruit sweetness (plum + fig). That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of freshly brewed espresso which contributes a moderate amount of roasty bitterness which lingers for a moderate amount of time.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: This is an enjoyable coffee stout but pales in coffee presence with the Kaldi I had last night. Easy to drink and well hidden alcohol. I could easily enjoy this one again.
