New batch from November 2021. Pours a light bronze with a full finger of head. I've never really understood the parameters of the style, but it's befitting a "blond stout." However, it all goes down hill after the pour. The nose has a wee chocolate but primarily gives off pyrazines suggesting bell peppers. Some additional wet paper pulp notes. I get some white chocolate on the palate, but it's overwhelmed by the bell pepper. Very mild capsaicin on the aftertaste and a residual feeling of it at the top of the throat, but no positive chile flavors. I poured about 12 ounces down the drain and grabbed a beer I would enjoy.
