Darker in color than I expected, and less red as well. Certainly a good red ale. Has a malty nose as well as flavor to it. Good beer, not sure it would be considered a red imo

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is deep amber, slight haze, off white head presents a scant 1/4 inch, dissipating to a ring along the glass side, lacing on the glass.
Smell is base malt and carared, slight hop grass and earth notes.
Taste is similar - great red ale with big carared flavor, quite distinct from an amber ale; additional notes of toast and biscuit, and lighter earthy/grassy hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, light/moderate bitterness.
Overall a light in strength, but full in flavor red ale - distinct flavor that you don't find often.
