A: Pours clear copper with a large but aggresively sizzeling tan head. No lacings.

S: Lots of smoke and meat and sausages. Sweet malt. Not much else.

T: Smoked, but kind of mild/weak. Sweet malt and some faint vanilla. Ham, and sausages. Some Honey.

M: Long smoked bitter aftertaste. Body is medium while carbonation mild.

O: Yet again; I'm not impressed by S:t Eriks. To weak in body and flavour to get me excited.

A clear pale brown beer, an off-white head that settles rather quickly, some lacing, small curtains.

The smell is smoke infested, meat, sausages, some wood and grain. A sweet honey fragrance. Smoked mackerel.

Starting with sweet wooden nuances, charred coal, the smoked fish once more, a sweet honey dipped ripe peaches reminiscent .

Little carbonation, soft and rather flat, not any dry feeling to speak of.

Ups and down, for a rauchbier rather well balanced and consistent smoke.

The colour is brown (30 EBC), the liquid is clear. The finger thick off-white head sinks quickly leaving no lacing.

The smell is smoky in a very Bavarian way. Wood, delicatessen, some fresh herbs and whisky. Some clean bitter notes. It is quite dry.

The taste is much dryer and bitterer than the German originals. Some herbs, smoky flavours of burned wood, delicatessen and old cellars. The aftertaste is rounded with some alcohol, bitter herbs, flowers and a repressed smoky note. The finish is rather woody and dry with a hint of dandelions.

The carbonation is strong and short with lots of small almost sharp bubbles. The liquid is very dry.

A light and dry rauchbier with a refreshing bitterness.
