The colour is amber-brown, the liquid clear. The two finger head is beige and airy. It sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell is sweet, hoppy with medium bitter flavours. Orange peels and dried fruits. Lightly roasted notes of brown malts makes me think of rye bread, caramel and mixed nuts. It is “brown”, balanced and smooth.
The taste is first dry and bitter. Then roasted bread-like notes of brown malts comes forward. Somewhat dusty-chalky notes. Light to medium body. The aftertaste got some harsh malty flavours, less body and sweetness. Hints of tobacco and a light clean bitterness. The finish got malty flavours, some green leaves and a hint of alcohol.
The carbonation is mild with fresh mid-sized bubbles. The liquid is smooth and a little dry.
Somewhat harsh, dusty and reminding of old bread. No, this one didn’t convince me of the greatness of this style either.

A: Pour is clear copper while the small white head is compact. Rich lacings.
S: Rich bitter hops with a healthy dose of floral hops; tropical fruit salad! Roasted caramell malt is semi-sweet. Some nettles and hay in the back. Some faint chocoalte.
T: Strange; vanilla and chocolate is what first hit my mouth. Then there is hard roasted malts, kind of dry. Bitter hops. Strong black coffee. Definitely not true to the style. Perfume, artificial...
M: Long bitter, roasted aftertaste. Medium to full body and strong carbonation.
O: It feel like a mix between Winter Warmer and perhaps Am. Amber Ale. Not a bad beer, but kind of all over the place.
