Happy that I found things that I liked a lot. Some samples were not to my taste.Enjoyed the visit. Nice roomy place. Brought a few growlers to a friend's house, took what was left home. Had some Turbo IPA, plus a Red Ale. Samplers were at a discount from Groupon, with an enjoyable tour of the brewery. Thanks to Mark M for setting it up.

Wife and I took took a trip to see some breweries, including Shebeen. Came on a very wintry night - tough driving, even for New Englanders. There was still a solid handful+ of people there, coming and going. Warm atmosphere in the main entry room with the taps; there's a second room with a lot of tables and games and bean bag toss.

Flight was a good price and got a good variety. Lot of interesting options. Beer was very good, with an eclectic variety that were all distinct and flavorful. Our least favorite ended up being the Cannoli, which we were excited to try. It was... OK. They had a delicious Anniversary ale and a great wheat (don't remember the name) that my wife, who normally hates wheat beers, really enjoyed.

Would recommend a stop. Wish it was a place we lived closer to. It's off a main road and, even amidst a snowstorm, found the signage to be OK. Didn't chat with them much but owners/employees seemed to be cool dudes.

The brewery really was getting heavy rotation on my groupon app so decided to give it a try.
A bit difficult finding the location due to poor signage and access via the main road. And we went at night and the parking lot was scarcely lit with no signs in regards to parking and entrance.
That being said it was all way uphill from there.
The staff was fantastic. The brewmaster actually was mahjong around and talked about the beers, and even giving us a tasting from an experimental sour beer in a barrel.
Great pricing on the flights and such a wide variety of beers on tap, including a cannoli beer. Very much a hometown feel, down to earth, and great beers to boot.

Rich, the owner, was very welcoming before the brewery opened in May 2013. Gave me a tour and tasting of the beers he had at the time. Rich is a nice guy who is passionate about beer and wants to share with people. His assembled staff is eager to help you with growler fills or a pint. Checkout goes smoothly.

Brewery was originally just a smallish room with the beer taps and a few tables and chairs, and a TV on the wall. Great painted mural of a street in Ireland graces the far wall. Expansion into adjacent space for "Beer Garden/Beer Hall" was much needed. That inviting space has a bunch of picnic tables set up with some merchandise available for sale and a great place to hang if you buy a pint or get a sample paddle..or want to stay longer with your mug club vessel filled with liquid goodness.

However, I am finding several beers from this brewer that have been sub-par for me. I have high hopes for Shebeen, as they are close by on my rounds of local craft brewers, and I visit them regularly. Some offering are very good (Java Pig Stout, Irish Pale Ale in the can). But there's an overall inconsistency with their brews. I hope they can lock it down in the near future.

Very inviting (went for the tour this past w/e during a snow storm) would absolutely go again to sample a new paddle of their beers in a different season. I'm a bartender at an Irish Pub so "Queen Shebeen" was definitely interested in our conversation and sent us on our way with positive vibes, a growler of porter, some glasses and an invite to return to craft with the head brewer.

Passionate beer people doing it the right way!

Small taproom in a commercial building on main drag in Wolcott with large parking lot around the backside of the building. Short L-shaped bar seats about 8 with a few tables in taproom and picnic table seating in the adjoining event room. Full bar service, serving mixed drinks and cocktails, as well as, 13 taps of house beer and guests selections. Shebeen also contract brews and offers can sale of these beers and some of their own. often there is a lively crowd on weekends and many people stop by for can sales. I have never tried their food services.

Went here on a Friday evening with my father. Relatively easy to find on a main roadway next to furniture store. Tap room is small, but very inviting and has a cool Irish decorations and theme to it. There were 6 beers on tap and pretzels for sale.

For $5 you were able to sample all six beers and get a tour (didn't take the tour, but the head brewer was there and chatted with him and seemed like a really cool, down to earth guy). The beers were all above average but nothing out of this world. All of them were very sessionable, I don't think they served a single beer over 5.0% ABV. Also, I give them credit for some unique beer offerings (pineapple wheat, bacon stout, cannolli beer - complete with a sugar rimmed glass and cocoa powder drizzled on top, and a cucumber wasabi beer). Some hits, some misses, but solid beer overall. They also had a barrel aged porter available, but for growler fills only.

T-shirts, glasses, hats, and other merch were available at reasonable prices. They also had 32 oz. growlers to go at $3 deposit + $5 fill which is one of the more affordable prices I've seen at a brewery (64 oz. growlers from other breweries are $10 a fill).

Cool atmosphere and great vibe and definitely worth checking out. The beers seem a little gimmicky, but a few of their beers were excellent. Looking forward to visiting again.

This is a pretty new brewery in Wolcott, CT. I visited for a sampling and left with a growler of their excellent Cannoli Beer. Atmosphere is perfect. It's a "warm" feeling place to be that is on the small side but has enough room. There's a fantastic mural on the back wall and a nice bar with friendly service. Very relaxing place to sit and have a drink with friends. 5 bucks to sample 6 awesome beers and the growlers and open-tap prices are extremely reasonable. Open tap is 17 dollars and this quality level that sounds good to me.

It's a little hard to find (walk all the way down the deck) but it genuinely exceeded my expectations when I arrived. This area needed this place and CT craft beer is better for their existence. Also if you ask for a tour (it's short but cool to see) the employees will walk you to the back where all the magic happens and are cool to talk with. You can tell they're passionate about their jobs and love doing what they do. Lucky guys and gals indeed!

Go to Shebeen and you will not be let down. I didn't know what to expect but I loved what I saw and will be a regular customer.

For a brewery that is getting started, I am impressed. Awesome atmosphere to relax and try some beers. The tasting room is a slightly small but the staff is very passionate about brewing and more importantly they are interested in your opinion about their beer. Not a big selection, but excellent prices for tastings. Highly recommend going here with a couple buddies and giving this brewery a visit. Can't wait to see how much these guys expand in the near future and look forward to updating this review when they do.
