A: Pours a slightly hazy deep mahogany in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate garnet red + cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall foamy tan head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer with a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly heavier than moderate aromas of caramel + toasted malts with light aromas of roasted malts. That is followed by moderate aromas of maple syrup, hints of chocolate malts, and a light amount of fruit yeast (plum).
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of caramel + toasted malts with light flavors of roasted + chocolate malts and a slightly stronger than moderate amount of maple syrup sweetness. Moderate flavors of fruit yeast (plum) and a light amount of earthy hops which impart a touch of bitterness which fades quickly leaving a lingering maple syrup sweetness.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: Maybe a touch sweeter than I expected but I really enjoy the addition of the maple syrup to a doppelbock. Drinks pretty easily for the sweetness and the ABV (which is very well hidden). I would definitely grab another of these.

Came in a goblet a deep mahogany color with a thin beige head atop.Mild maple and caramel aromas mainly in the nose,as it sat some sweet alcohol came thru as well.Maple and burnt sugar flavors with caramel playing a role as well, sweet but not in your face sweet, the alcohol does creep.Almost like a maple creme brulee to me,not bad.

Pours hazy, thin, disappearing head, smells sweet, toffee and maple notes. Taste is full with lasting malty finish. Good Beer.
