Picked up a single from the Energy Mart gas station cooler on Long Shoals Road/I-26 1-30-26 for $2.59. Canning code 195251302 may = an 7-14-2025 canning date; consumed 2-23-26. Cold stored since purchase; hoping this brew was treated well.

Beer poured amber brown with an okay off white head.

Nose has notes toasted malts that reveal some honey and a touch of herbal hops.

Taste is a lightly toasted malt base that emits a touch of honey. Hopping brings an herbal balance leaving some light fruit flavor in post sip aspirations.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.

Overall, a pretty solid offering. Would love to try this with less age.

Had it on tap at PNC arena in Raleigh. A really good representation of the style. Slightly maltier, and a little lighter than some Marzens. Excellent taste. Not too carbonated. One of their better beers

A: Pours a clear deep copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate garnet red + golden yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall foamy beige head that reduces to a large patch of mottled thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of toasted, bready, nutty, and caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. Light aromas of earthy + spicy hops.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted, bready, nutty, and caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of earthy + spicy hops which impart a very light amount of bitterness which fades away fairly quickly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively clean in the finish.

O: Overall a pretty enjoyable Märzen and I could easily have a couple of these in a single session. Alcohol is well hidden and this one goes down pretty easily.

Amber color. Minimal head. Aromas of malt and hazelnut. Slightly astringent mouthfeel. Notes of toasted bread, a bit like pumpernickel perhaps. Lingering finish, a bit sweeter than I’d prefer.
