Very dark brown, essentially black. 1/2" khaki head is tight and lasts a few minutes, leaving some lacing.
Roasted malt, dark chocolate, some currants and cashew.
Follows the nose. More roasted malt and nut skins than previously suggested. Modest sweetness and balanced bitterness. Long mild finish.
Medium to thin body, slick, almost oily texture. Abv below expectations, modest fizzy carbonation.
Enjoyed this one before dinner at a friend's house, and it really suited the situation well. I could see myself enjoying it at a pub while playing cards.
