Brown color, foamy white head. Weak aromas of rye. On the taste, however, the rye really stands out (compared to a rye IPA where it’s balanced by the hops). Quite a dry, carbonated mouthfeel. I think I prefer rye IPA over rye “regular” pale ale, but not bad.

Dark copper color and big, dense head make the appearance impressive, although the head appears to be leaving less lace than I hoped. Nose is heavy on the rye malt, with spice and sour notes predominating.
This is a tale of two tastes, with sweet caramel malt early and turning to medium sourness with a touch of spice and a mild bitterness for later. Not a terribly strong or intense flavor. Mouthfeel is appropriately thick. Interesting, and worth a try, but ultimately lacking a touch in complexity and strength.

First rye pale ale I've tried. I enjoy it but have nothing to compare it to.
