Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Slight muddy brown to amber body color, filled with a good amount of fast and fine rising carbonation. Head creation is very foamy, fine, and billowing. Fistful but controlled with swiss cheese and island retention.
Good aroma off the crack of the can. Hits with a real nice woody and earthy hop aroma at first. Soft caramel and a spicy sweetness seems to accent nicely from the malt base. A good spicy note tends to dominate after awhile, while hard to pinpoint is quite enjoyable.
Woah where did that palate go on first sip? Very watery body that almost has an adjunct like mass lager quality to it. Pappery mouthfeel and lighter hops hit the mid palate with an almost chalky flavor. Muted sweetness and hop profile, and dry flour flavors, with a faint touch of caramel sweetness.
Surprising that this clocks in at 6.5 abv since it feels like an extremely light session IPA.

A- Can to chalice pour with a mostly clear deep golden copper body and a foamy white cap. Fairly good head retention and thick patches of lace coat the glass.
S- Like walking into a brewery: freshly mashed medium sweet malts and semi blurred out hops combine to give me that brew house aroma. The hops give off a very reisnous grapefruit oil feel with pine, spiciness and grassy tones as well.
T- On my palate the mixture of flavors in this brew is kind of strange. A spiciness comes out seemingly from all the beer elements and runs the show alongside grapefruit peel and toasty sweet freshly mashed grains. A bit like a homebrew. The malts and yeast give off an English feel but the resinous piney, melon, grapefruit hops pull it back towards the USA.
MF- Medium bodied overall with a frothy and silky texture. High carbonation provides a crisp zestiness and the brew ends with a very resinous bitter bite.
Not a bad brew as there are some fresh hop flavors, flavorful malts and a goof yeast presence but those elements don't combine amazingly. I find the resinous bitterness clashes with the toasty sweet grains a bit too much.
