it sounds like they dont make this one all the time, but they probably should, a really cool beer that i think is a high water mark for fruited hefe types, the cherry is honest and authentic and flavors this beer a lot without being too sweet at all, and allowing the flavor of the wheat malt to still be at the front of it. there is some sweetness to this lightly pinky brew, its foamy and its lacy, but its also cherry driven and different for the style, full of minerals, wheat malt essence, and banana forward german yeast thats been nicely restrained but still allowed to express itself. the cherry is a personal choice i think, and while some may rave about it, its the part of this thats least exciting for me. i prefer the base beer on its own i think, or at least i reckon i would if that were a draft option, the cherry is fine, but the base beer is really good, and it doesnt need the fruit to me. fluffy and full and dry and good, i bet this would work without the cherry just as well. summery though and unique to this place. nobody suggested i go here, and folks seem to have written this place off unfairly, i liked the beers i had here, and think they deserve more credit than they get. i could have had eight of these and not thought twice...
