Farm/rustic vibe, casual and inviting with a super friendly and informative bartender when I visited.
Well crafted beers available on tap to stay growlers to go, plus some special bottles beers to go.
Worth a visit for the atmosphere, and to enjoy a few beers either inside or out, nice views if you choose to grab a bench seat outside. I enjoyed a nice IPA and a brown ale...pretty good
Refreshingly down to earth and super, non chain feeling, in a world of seemingly too many corporate/chain kinda craft beer places.

Definitely has a homey rustic vibe. More of a country style sit down brewery with no bar stools. Outdoor seating and music on a regular. Has 12 beers on tap with a nice variety of styles. Astelle the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. I tried 3 beers. Their Haze in the Hollow is a solid NE IPA, their Mount Pleasent is a great Pilsner and their kettle sour is also very good. Nothing wowed me however, their beer is solid and their establishment and cozy and homey. Probably won’t go here again but was worth the stop.

This is a small, relatively new (2 years and 2 weeks old at the time of review) operation. The variety of selection is decent, and they focus on making a quality, locally-sourced product; which I appreciate. The biggest thing I can say is that they are in need of some recipe cleanup, a lack of balance was present in both beers that I tried. However, the staff's friendly nature and approachability more than make up for the lack of consistency with their beers, which I am sure will even out as time goes on.

No food; just beer. And that's OK.
Staff are great. Knowledgable, small family business.
Simple, small tasting room, bar can be a bit cramped.
Tasting menu is flip-book style with nice info on each brew to guide you through your tasting.
Beers are good, but not great. Selection is usually about a half dozen or so.

Stopped at Hopshire over the weekend while visiting Ithaca. A nice little farm brewery with a small tasting room and outdoor seating. I got there shortly after they opened on a Saturday and there were a few people there enjoying tasting flights and growler fills.
In a few weeks the Hop vines will start growing in the front fields and it will be a really nice view. Their tasting room has some seating and a small bar. They had 7 beers on tap and offered flights and full pours. The NY Farm Brewery bill allows them to pour full beers which is very nice without serving food.
Their beers were all pretty solid. I really enjoyed their IPA and Scottish Ale. Not a bad beer out of the bunch. They offered a few session beers which is always nice find. They had a few beers in the 5-7% range and then their IPA and Belgian Pale Ale were above 7%.
I would definitely recommend checking this place out. They are very reasonably priced and their beers were all well rounded. Definitely get a growler or two to go. Cheers!
