This place looks really shady. The front windows are all blocked, there's no actual signs on the building and it actually looks like its closed all the time. Luckily it isn't!

Atmosphere: I went during the middle of the week with a lady friend so it was pretty slow. Quiet, a good family atmosphere ( not what I would expect for a microbrew).

Quality: The food and service really nail the score down.

Service: Top notch. They know when to show up and when to leave you alone. I was never interrupted mid conversation or hovered over annoyingly. The food and brews came promptly.

Selection: they had roughly 20-30 beers on tap and 4 in house beers. The in tap selection was decent with some of the big west coast names but also a good selection of Rocky Mountain local brews. I tried their hefe and their rye pale ale. The latter being the better of the two but both left me wanting something more complex and unique. They definitely played it safe with these two beers which I would rate 3.5-3.75.

Food: Amazing for a small town in Wyoming. A French/Cajun influence with dishes like frog legs and au gratin. This place shins through with simple but extraordinarily yummy dishes. I highly reckoned the bacon wrapped jalapeƱos stuffed with cream cheese and a huckleberry tarragon sauce.

I spoke to the owner briefly and he mentioned their cook would be leaving
In 3-4 months but he insured us the menu would largely stay the same and the new cook (who works their currently) would keep the brewery true to "it's roots".

Great place to go if your driving through to Yellowstone or staying in Cody . Two thumbs up!

Well this place looks like a real piece of crap from the outside. My wife and I were on our way back from a long day in Yellowstone to our cabin in Cody, Wyoming and we saw this "Geyser Brewing Co. and Restaurant" in some kind of corrugated sheet metal building along the side of U.S. Highway 16. We were both starving so we threw caution to the wind and went in.

On the outside, as I said, this place looks terrible. It's got an old gravel parking lot with holes in it and seems like a dive bar. On the inside it looks like a nice restaurant. It's more like a Perkins in terms of style than your traditional brewpub, but it was at least clean and decently fancy.

Service was very good. It wasn't too busy so we were seated and served immediately and the food came quickly.

The menu was pretty pricey, but there were a number of different options. The sandwiches were in the $10 range while some of the more "exotic" entrees (lobster, buffalo steak, etc.) were around $25. The selection of vegetarian and seafood options was surprisingly good for an out-of-the-way joint in a landlocked red state.

They only had 4 of their own beers on tap, which I think is forgivable considering I believe they've only been in business a few months. They also had a very good variety of other beers on tap, including about 25 craft beers from Rocky Mountain/West Coast breweries such as Snake River, Big Sky, and Deschutes.

I ordered the Rye Pale Ale, which I thought was a pretty tasty and unique take on the style, and it seemed to use some European hops rather than the common American citrusy ones (full review of that later).

As for food, I ordered an artichoke and roasted red pepper sandwich, which was near-perfect and not something I would have dreamed up on my own, so kudos to them for being adventurous. My wife ordered a London steak with goat cheese mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Everything (including the beer) was very well-spiced but not overwhelming. Overall, it was a bit pricey but certainly worth it.
