On-tap at the source, received in a pint glass.

3.5 A: Nearly clear dark yellow. One finger of frothy white head. Retention is a touch below average and no lacing is left.

4.0 S: Very spicy - peppery with clove undertones. Peachy fruitiness. Touch of yeastiness. Mild grassy and earthy hops.

3.5 T: Spiciness continues into the taste. Strong pepper and light clove. Moderate yeastiness. A little bitter for the style but well within reason. Peach and pear fruits.

4.0 M: Medium body. Spritzy carbonation. Slightest bit of chewiness with pleasant creaminess.

4.0 D: Solid beer. My first Morgantown brew was a good one.
