Granny Witch Gruit
Spiced Ale
ABV 5.1%
Unique to Appalachia, and similar to the tribal "Medicine Man," Granny Witches use a combination of Folk Magic, faith healing, and superstition to heal people in remote and isolated regions. This "potion" is our take on the ancient Gruit style. Full of herbs and spices instead of hops, it drinks like a spiced tea. Rusticly brewed with oats, wheat, rye, and "hopped" with mugwort, heather tips, cinnamon, and hibiscus. Please enjoy responsibly! Cheers!

Finally, finally, FINALLY found a Gruit!. And the funny thing....... It was right next door to us in Morgantown, WV!
Gorgeously clear and golden in the glass.
Wonderful spice aroma, light cider aroma as well, maybe a light wine.
It does taste Christmas-like. Yeasty, like a nice raised Christmas bread. Interesting mouth-feel...like a lack of salt in bread.
