I tried this at Swampers in the Marriott Shoals. It poured a clear golden with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had slight hint of bread. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was ok.

First had poured from 12-oz. can, gift from friend, with "LAUNCHED ON" date stamped on bottom, into faceted mug. Only my second cream ale, so unsure of compliance with the style, but this is an enjoyable beer.

interesting cream ale here, a little maltier than most, although it doesnt affect the color too much. lacking carbonation and clarity, and maybe just a touch more orange than the norm for the style. it has a curious nose and taste, somewhat tart for a second, more yeasty than these usually are. less "creamy" for the style, maybe not cold conditioned as long or as cool as others, more of an ale than a hybrid here, zesty though and bold in the taste, not hoppy, but unique on the grain side and not overly refined. very rustic as they go. if it had more carbonation and a was a tad more clean, it would be really cool because of the slight tang the yeast delivers, but its heavy for a cream ale, and lacks the crisp refreshment we usually look for in the style. my first beer from these guys and one of my first overall from the state of alabama. not bad, but a step or two below the better craft cream ales in the game. i will look forward to trying more of their stuff though, looks like they have a pretty wide array of brews happening...

I'm not really much of a cream ale fan, but this one was ok. I only rated it a 3 because it's not really something that I'd drink again.
