The brewery calls this a "Golden Dubbel," whatever that is. It tastes just like a Saison, but maybe that's the golden yellow color talking. In any case it's less sweet and fruity, and more yeasty than a typical Dubbel. Pleasant bitter edge and even a little clove. The yeasty and appley aroma is quite nice.
This is a really tasty and drinkable brew with a lot of Belgian character. Just a little sharp and plenty of carbonation. From the 32 oz growler filled yesterday at the brewery in Temecula. No sign of sediment in the bottom but it gets yeastier for the last couple of pours.
