Wow beer from relatively unknown brewery to myself. This Quad really doesn't do anything wrong. Near flawlessly executed IMHO. Usual suspects in the nose and taste. Dark cherry, raisins and dates, mild plumb, brown sugar, and the Belgian yeast isn't at all overpowering, which I really like. Nothing is out of balance. Everything is in equal parts. Very, very impressive. Let's talk mouthfeel. Here's where the wow factor comes in. This one is SO SOFT. Velvet like. Creamy, yet goes down so nice without feeling heavy for the ABV. The alcohol is very well hidden. You get traces of it here and there, but it really is near undetectable. This is a pleasant surprise from an American go at the style. Near as enjoyable of the benchmarks of the style from our European counterparts.
