This is an outstanding ale.
Looks: Hazy, evenly opaque, and great lacing. Some little chunks but not big or many. Normal for the style. Looks great in the glass!
Smells: Potent citrus hops with complex layers of sweetness and mildly dank hops. Bright citrus zest flows off the glass. Someone next to me remarked they could smell it.
Taste: Big floral and juicy hops but low bittnerness. Sweet but not too sweet. I picked up a great light funky dankiness reminiscent of Simcoe hops but alas there are non. Great complex melon and citrus flavors with zestiness that I really enjoyed.
Mouthfeel: Unique! Creamy to moderate and then dry at the end but then the sweetness made my mouth water, thus leaving my palate wet and ready for another sip. Easy to drink.
Overall this is a great hazy IPA and one I’ll return to. Big hop aromas and flavors without any overly bitter or piney notes. If hazies are your jam this is a must try.

First craft that i ever enjoyed was ayinger/weihnstefphaner (i know i did not spell that right plus import). Each time i had the opportunity to enjoy a IPA.. i poured it down the drain.. hated IPA.. then came a season beer that was half IPA and Hef.. that was something i could handle (thinking lagunitas seasonal?) either way... when i first tasted this... wow. Half the IPA haze and Ayinger/Weihn. If you like Hazy IPA's and German Weizen/Bocks... this is IT. Good stuff. Refuge, keep on with this.
I may not be a connoisseur but am picky.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
