Very yeasty IPA. Overall it wasn't what I was expected, however, it has a special character that I am sure some beer lovers would really like. I feel like this is a IPA/saison beer. Not my favorite style, but worth a try.

Pours to a permanent head and ample lacing. Aroma is bready and hoppy. Flavor is a good balance of grain and hops, of a citrus or tropical flavor. Low bitterness. Mouthfeel is odd but I like it. Good one.

From the 12 fl.oz. bottle. Sampled on May 5, 2015.

Very heady orange amber pour. Leaves a lot of lacing.

The aroma has this sort of overripe fruit character with toasted biscuits. Citrus hops maybe.

The body is light to medium.

The taste is a yeasty, malty, cantaloupe thing. I believe I had an older bottle so perhaps my experience was as good as it could have been.

A one- time try for me. Not as drinkable as I was hoping to experience based on the look and smell. Held a really nice head to the last sip.. but a little too bitter for me.

Not bad. Distinctly Kuka. Really just a bigger version of APA. stickier hops in the nose, more caramel on the tongue. Light body but not dry, slight astringency. good length. Cant find the maca. not bad

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of grainy cereal notes with dank hops is not very good. Taste is also dominated by weird grainy cereal notes with dank hoppy notes. Body is average with OK carbonation. Something is wrong with the malt bill, the hops profile or some of the other ingredients that were added but in any cases this is not something I would want to drink again.

A: hazy; dark orange; 1 finger head that stuck around for a few minutes; minimal lacing;

S: mostly malt with some earthy hops in the background;

T: woody; long bitter finish with the same woody flavor;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation;

O: interesting, but one note; not my style; closer to an English IPA with the malt forward;

Bottle > Pint Glass

A - Pours a cloudy orange 1 finger of off white head, thin scattered lacing.
S - Really weird herbal hop scents, slightly earthy, candied orange, a touch of grass.
T - Taste is very sweet up front, lots of caramel malt, candied orange, then you get those mix of herbal flavors.
M - Tart and chewy.
O - After a quick search on "Maca Root" It seems to be some popular health trend that I could care less about, and it doesnt have a good effect on this beer, thats for sure.

S - Light hops but mostly a mild grapefruit aroma.

T - Mild hop taste, some malt with a citrus finish

M - Medium bodied

O - A very drinkable mild IPA. Solid brew.

Poured into a sam adams glass, nice full head developed with a light tan color which lasted a short time and laced well. Appearance was a light amber with a slight haze. Aroma was hoppy on the front with a malt back. Taste was a dry hop and malt front with a bitter back. Mouthfeel was odd, felt like it was sticking to the inside of my mouth, maybe it was something I ate, I'm not sure. But all in all a nice IPA.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high beige head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose; these ultimately become replaced by the smell of root vegetables as the beer warms up.
T: When slightly warmed, the taste has an initial dash of citrusy hops and is quickly followed by flavors of maca root, which linger through the finish and seem a somewhat astringent. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate with a hint of crispness and a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I wouldn't consider this the easiest of beers to drink because the maca root makes the taste seem astringent. It definitely tastes more like an English IPA compared to an American IPA because the hops are not that assertive and are overshadowed by the maca root.

12 ounce bottle, w/o freshness dating that I can find.

Pours pretty typical almond amber, medium tan head, slight in size, then leaves a moderate film, collar and spotty lace.

Mostly malt on the nose.

This is a malty IPA. Some hops late and in the finish. Caramel notes make this one taste like a scotch ale with a semi hoppy finish, with moderate grapefruit notes poking their heads out.

Full bodied with the carbonation on point to slightly on the slow side.

Ehh, nothing to impressive or exciting going on here

A - Pours a deep Ruby-Amber with 2-finger Off-White head that lingers with considerable lacing

S - Slightly rye-ish and faintly hoppy

T - Mildly malty with a trace of citrus that vanishes abruptly

M - Full-Bodied

O - Like the label more than the beer, although it is very drinkable at 6.2%
