Pours with one finger of tan foam on a dark reddish brown body. The head settles slowly and leaves nice lace. A smoky aroma of cinnamon, pipe tobacco, and musty malt. Lightly tart malt with notes of pepper, clove, and paper. Medium body, moderately high carbonation and a dry finish. Not good, it is oxidized and bland. Very disappointing after trying the barrel roll, which was quite nice.

two finger off white head on a deep brown with amber hues body with good lacing. Aroma almost smells like cardboard/brown box but its not really bad just bland with caramel, toffee, nuts and bourbon but these are understated. Flavor isnt very exciting with little evidence of barrel aging with caramel, some simple sugars, a subtle hint of bourbon and more cardboard. Medium body and moderate to high carbonation. I was pretty disappointed overall. The barrel aged porter they released was much better.
