This dark colored ale features a large two ich head which retains well and leaves patches of lace around. Following suit is an aroma with notes of prune, sugared dates, and fennel. It is a sweet beer, but not too sweet. A bite of yeasty prunehits first. Banana follows that. A hint fo spice adds a pleasant distraction from the fruit. It's alcohol is hidden well, and it is a somewhat smooth beer which overall is a pleasant experience.
