L- Superficially black, with a halogen behind it's a very deep hazy ruby-brown. Pours with fleeting tan cap.
S- I just get some toasty charring.
T- Smokey-charring, a bold tartness (first sip of beer today and it makes me literally physically shudder). I do get a fruit note, perhaps it's sour cherry lost amongst the tart edge...
F- It's a smokey stout yet the tart fruit note blends into it seamlessly.
O- It's a curious thing, far from subtle or delicate. I can certainly finish it but there's nothing here to give me reason to wish to drink it again; all a bit 'too clever by half...'
440ml can BB: July-2021 £3.95 from TremblingMadness/York as part of a DIY mixed case for home delivery.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and purchased from Timperley village Bargain Booze
Pours a jet black body with good tan head
Aroma is cherry boot polish
That dark notes in the flavour, it tastes good, honestly
Solid bodied
