330ml bottle. Hazy, light amber with a good cap and arcs of lacing. Smells of rich, over-ripe, tropical fruit. Taste follows the nose plus a subtly spicy & woody finish with some bitterness. Medium body coats the tongue and a dry finish that builds over time. A decent, but not a stand-out, new world pale ale with US and NZ hops. A bit unbalanced.

L: Hazy golden color, three finger white head, thick lacing, loads of carbonation.
S: Hops.
T: Hoppy, malty, biscuity, slightly bitter.
F: Medium bodied, very carbonated.
O: Decent pale ale but nothing I will look forward to again.

Pint at the Euston Tap.
A: Very hazy, copper colour, small head.
S: PNE or New Zealand style hop aroma.
T: Fruity, apples, grapefruit, with a wheat like finish, good balance.
M: Slightly thick texture, coarse edge.
O: Good balance, not a session beer as it's a bit too strong, but a couple of pints would go down well.

Bottle into tulip glass. I'm a fan of Weird Beard's stuff and this is no exception. Think of a tropical fruit and you'll find it on the nose of this one. Soft mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation. Lovely warm weather beer. Quite a lot of sediment in my samples so pour carefully.

A 330ml bottle. Pours as a hazy golden colour with a big white foamy head. Aromas of malt, hops, citrus and tropical fruit. Tastes of mango, grapefruit, citrus, gooseberry, with a malty background and with hints of spice, leading to a citrusy hopped bitter finish.

Amber, hazy. White head high, unstable, leaving decorating.
The aroma of intensely fruity, citrus and tropical heat.
The sweet taste of the tropics mingle with slightly tart citrus, beer, light, pleasant and very drinkable.
Gentian too high.

Crisp amber colour. Nose has has strong tropical leanings - grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit. Flavour is hoppy with a mild sweaty socks bitterness. Pretty average beer overall, aroma is better than the taste.

Pint on draught. Head drops to slight retention medium lacing. Definite pine influences with mango / passion fruit highlights. Bittering hops balanced just right.
Very nice pint overall - hard to fault!

Hazy dark honey with crusty off white film. 3.75
Stewy mango and resin nose with, frankly, a bit of dishwater. 3.5
Lots of honey and apricot, then orange rind, rosin, and, yes, blackberry. Opens fruity as it warms. 4
Jammy finish and mildly tight linger.
Nearly medium, chewy, some oil. 3.75
Citra, Pacific Gem
Oddly muddles and heavy - doesn’t have the hop brightness that I’d expect from NZ. Bottled June, so 10 weeks max - that shouldn’t be the problem. Pacific Gem, as it happens, is more sweet berry that tropical fruit - altogether more subtle, but no less complex as you go along. Not what I expected, but a grower once you manage your expectations. 4
