500 ml bottle, pouring in a mug. It shouldn't be sold as an IPA, even being pretty hopped as it is. Otherwise, excellent beer. Damiana flower is the star here, with earthy and herbal hops, and a clear honey note. It has some of a tea-like character. Light body.

Nice beer. Extreme flowerly in the nose and mouth and with a lot of notes of caramel malt and honey.
Sweetness is high, as well as body and carbonation. Bitterness is at nice level.

What the hell is a Bavarian India Pale Ale? As the 3rd anniversary ale for Invicta, it looks like they were going for something very different. In Damiana, they certainly did, but not for the reason that I initially thought. Thanks for the 500 ml bottle Ciro! On to the beer:

A pretty looking beer. Peachy orange colored with a light haze, topped with a head that seems to last forever and is very creamy as well. It looks almost like a hefeweizen. I smell it, I get a light impression on the aroma. It smells floral with a light note of hops. For a beer with the name "India Pale Ale" , I expected much more hops, especially with a fine track record from their Double IPA and 6 O'Clock collaboration with Sixpoint.

I like the taste, but at first I couldn't explain why. But then I get it. The light honey base is a suitable starting point. I taste flowers as well, but the flowers aren't bitter or astringent, just floral and fresh. Honeysuckle, kiss of booze, the ending with a dried apricot and spicy hop aftertaste. The beer is medium boded, sot, creamy, and smooth.

Ditch the India Pale Ale moniker and just call it a floral pale ale. Regarding a floral pale ale, Invicta did well here. Refreshing, easy to drink, and appetizing.
