Cloudy tea color with a 4F head in a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very interesting aroma and taste: grape, earthy, vanilla.
Smooth MF.
Moderately hoppy finish.
Excellent and unusual taste profile.
There is no rating for approach to style but I would give this beer an A for style.

Crowler from Big Fatty's, dated 1/12/2018.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a murky copper color with a sheet of a little white foamy head that slid off fairly quick. Just a concave little bit of lace that slid with the sips.
The aroma had some sweet honeydew/melon flesh to slide into a white cracker/biscuity malt. Just a touch of white pepper/somewhat grassy hoppiness. Light herbal quality.
The flavor took the prior mentioned aromas to bring them in sweetly together. Seemed like more of a black tea-like character came across here and then with that white peppery sort of spice, quaint, yet nice. Nice blend of the black tea character, malts and melon/honeydew sweet hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality. Noticeable ABV, but not a flaw as I accepted what was projected. Crisp black tea to herbal and grassy to semi-melon-like sweet sort of finish with barely any stickiness.
Overall, very nicely done DIPA that I would welcome again very much. Dare I say a bit 'old school,' perhaps it is.

thought this stuff was pretty great. excellent looking IIPA, big tropical and citric notes on the nose. palate is peach, grapefruit, pineapple, candied orange, herbaceous tea note, resinous pine with an assertive bitterness that is well balanced by sweet bready malts. mouthfeel is right where it should be! well done once again lost nation - your hoppy offerings are top class!
