Poured from the can into a teku. Golden yellow with a white head that fades to a thin rim. Smell is yeast esters with only a faint hint of smoke. Smooth drinking with a lighter mouthfeel. Sweet malt flavor with some smokiness on the back of the tongue. Certainly sessionable. Wish I had another.

Poured from a 16 oz can purchased at a plant farm in Manchester; born on 3/22/22. Pours golden yellow with decent inital head that rapidly recedes. Sweet smokey taste up front that relents to the biscuity helles lager. Big fan of the style and this doesn't disappoint.

Poured a light golden color with a 4F head.
Aroma: lots of smoke and lemon.
Wonderfully spicy, smoky, with a good bitterness.
Excellent beer and an interesting approach to a Helles.

Way too smoky, not for me. Feel and carbonation were fine, I can’t handle the smokiness in a beer...

Poured from a can dated 3/2/18 , purchased today at the brewery, into the test glass.
A - Bright goldenrod color, a slight haze still allows the perfect carbonation to be watched as it assembles into a fine white cap.
S - A-waft of smoked grains blends well with a grassy hop element.
T - Balanced well, flavors include lemongrass, smoked malt, nice light grains.
M - Light across the palate, semi sweet start, then a move to the middle with a very nice slightly Smokey touch. The linger is very good. Like the perfect balance between toasted malts and lemon drop hops
O - A fine offering that displays the brewers talents, gently applied malts keep this smoked offering quite enjoyable

Smoked beers are often overdone, and the smokiness dominates the flavor. This smoked lager is more subtle. Smoke is there, but not at the expense of a really pleasant German-style lager.

16oz can. Pours a slightly hazy bright yellow with a small amount of head. Some lacing. Smokey, meaty aroma with some cherrywood, floral hops, and toasted malts. The taste is a good amount of bacon and smoked ham, pork etc. Earthy, grassy hops along with bready malts and crackers. Meaty, smoked finish. Very light and drinkable with a good deal of carbonation. The smoke flavor isn't overpowering so this works well for a summer beer. Almost like Rauchbier light. Worth having again.
