Pours a crystal clear yellow with fine head that falls away quickly.

Smell is light and floral, with hints of grains and crackers and a citrusy tinge. There’s a little bit of butteriness and rye lurking in there as well. Clean and crisp.

Taste is floral and citrusy, with light cracker and toasted malt notes. Very clean, crisp and refreshing, with just a hint of the butteriness and a whiff of peppercorn. Mild bitterness, that has a perfumey hints to it.

Mouthfeel is thin, but a bit creamy, with bright, sparkling carbonation.

Overall, a very nice, easy to drink Pilsner. Not very exciting, but very well made.

First had Howling Pils "Bohemian Lager" in December 2015 at Howling Hops brewery and tank bar, Hackney Wick, London, on draft from conditioning tank into faceted, barrel-shaped mug.

This was my first beer from a "tank bar"--Howling Hops claims to be "the UK's first dedicated tank bar," which I can not dispute. Great experience, and a solid Czech Pilsener.
