not sure if they actually number the beers here in this little series of pale ales, or if its just whatever number tank they come out of, either way, this is an amazing expression of vic secret hops, and one of the best hoppy beers i had in london anywhere. the color of the beer is striking, its almost white, seriously looks like that white powerade that i dont think exists anymore, milky almost, faint straw yellow there, but its about as pale a beer as i have ever seen. the aroma is amazing, botanical and herbal and almost savory at first, things like apple mint, lemongrass, and verbena jump out at me, but then it moves fruity, sweet lemon zest, tangerine, and green melon, its mouthwatering, and the simple, wheaty or oaty grain base seems to make a lot of sense for it, giving it a dry, earthy aroma and some starchy body in feel but no sweetness at all. the flavor of the hops is just as good as the nose, and the beer is clean too, which is odd for how this one looks, no yeastiness either, which i expected. the melon notes are ripe and juicy, there are hints of kiwi, chardonnay, and white currant here too, and even a peachy element in the middle, just an epic showcase of this hop, and at a nice low abv, a beer i really could drink all day. a different kind of hop saturation here, and overall a wonderful beer, my favorite we had from these guys hands down. awesome beer!
